Sushi for Fishers
We lost one of our favorite dinner spots back in 2008 when our favorite sushi chef and restaurant owners, Robert and Naomi Liu, sold their restaurant, Wasabi on 82nd. Well, they're back with a new restaurant, Wild Ginger on 116th, and the food is just great. Wild Ginger seems a little more casual than their former space and the white tablecloths are gone, but the elegant, modern dinning room and sushi bar are very attractive.
The menu is still filled with interesting traditional Japanese appetizers and entrees, but the real star is the sushi and the fabulous selection of Maki rolls. We joined Wine Guy Tom and his wife, Suzanne, for dinner there last week and Robert's work was as good as we remembered. From the perfectly prepared tempura appetizer, to the well portioned sushi, to the exotic rolls, the food was uniformly excellent, and the service very capable. Highly Recommended.
