The Wine Guy Pick of the Month

This may be the best Chianti Classico I have ever tasted. It combines the best of Chiantiís old-world roots with more forward fruit and softer tannins.

What the Wine Critics Thought:
Wine Spectator: 93

This red combines a ray of pure cherry with coffee, spice, wild herb and tobacco flavors in a seamless way, while sanguine and iron elements chime in on the finish. Balanced and elegant, with a lingering, complex aftertaste. Drink now through 2035. 1,500 cases imported. óB.S.

What We Thought:
This elegant Chianti Classico is ripe and exceptionally smooth with a medium-bodied palate filled with ripe black cherry fruit along with notes of tobacco, espresso and leather, finishing with supple tannins and light acids.
